Welcome to my blog…I am new to this and can’t promise how well I will do but I am going to try.
I am Tonya Freeman Brown and have been married to Jarad for over six years! My joy is being a stay-at-home-mommy to Ms Whitney, my four year old precious sweet little Ms Drama Queen, & I have been very fortunate and have not had to work a public job since she has been born. My ‘day’ job is cleaning for three families & a store which keeps me quite busy but my fun job is being the owner of Tonya Brown Designs!!! Tonya Brown Designs covers a wide variety of merchandise & products and I am so excited with all the changes the last year has brought & the changes I believe we are continuing to bring in!
I started a home based business in August 2003 as a way to decorate my new home so it would be beautiful following my December 2003 wedding. Since that time I have added more merchandise & addition products and now would like to try to take my business one step further and help build a more solid business for our family.
I ‘thought’ my friends and family knew what products and things I offered through my business but through the past year I realized how many did not know what amazing products and items we currently have to offer! My best customers (my mom & my aunt) purchased 40+ gifts from me for Christmas gifts last year and everyone was amazed when I would say "yes that came from my business too" so my goal is to share things going on with our family & share details of my business as well!
I will try to give a brief description of the things we currently have to offer & will also post links to the various web sites where you can view more amazing products!!
I am a Celebrating Home Decorating Consultant and offer a wide variety of home décor, home fragrance , kitchen Stoneware (that is Awesome!!) and much more! The Stoneware is freezer, microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe and is as beautiful as it is versatile and it comes with a warranty…how much better can you get.

The newest addition to my business is Uppercase Living & I am so excited about all the wonderful new products they have to offer! I did a “Welcome” with damask on the glass of our back door and love it and I also did a “Happy Birthday” for Whitney’s 4th Birthday party on their metal tile & it was too cute! I can’t wait to get a fresh coat of paint on my walls so I can start adding more UL expressions to our home! I also gave several gifts of UL for Christmas & birthdays and everyone is loving it. We also have added five UL expressions to our church - Ider Holiness Church- so when you are there be sure to check out our bathrooms!

As several know but some may not, I also do custom gift baskets! I worked for a gift basket business while I was in college & loved it! The lady I worked for was a stay-at-home-mom and started the gift basket business from a room behind her garage & we had a blast & it started my dream for wanting to own a home-based business. I cannot tell you how many gift baskets I have made over the past few years but for at least a year now it has been several each month & I love it! I not only love shopping for them & assembling each one unique but I love to deliver them & see the looks on people’s face whether they have been in a car wreck or the hospital, maybe it was their birthday or anniversary, a new baby, a new home, and on a few occasions it has been on a more sad note to deliver to someone who has recently lost a loved one. On that note, one of my most touching deliveries of the year was to someone who had just lost her husband & I delivered a picture of a church with a floral swag with white doves to the funeral home & it touched her so much and the joy it brought to her is what makes this job so rewarding!
AND....crazy I know but over the past few months I have started doing photography! Mostly for family & friends but its growing! I loved the first phone call I received from someone telling me they had been referred to me & wanted me to do their sons senior pictures!!! I was excited & have been having a blast trying different things with photography! Sweet Ms Whitney is an awesome little model to try things on...even on days when she says I don't feel like pictures today! Gotta love her!!
I have a BlackBerry so that I can receive emails and phone calls at all times and try to be available for same day delivers if possible (sometimes that just isn’t possible but I try).
